Old, brittle screen tears and blows out of the channel in Florida storms. Once one panel goes, the ones next to it usually follow.
04Spline popping out
When the rubber spline dries out, it shrinks and pops out of the frame. Screens get loose, sag and flap. A rescreen replaces all of it.

Rescreening questions, answered
How much does it cost to rescreen a pool cage in Orlando?
A full rescreen is $1.50 per square foot of screened area for a 1-story enclosure and $2.00 for a 2-story enclosure, with standard Phifer 18×14 screen, new spline and free door hardware. An average pool cage has about 2,500–3,000 sq ft of screen.
How long does a full rescreen take?
Most pool cages are rescreened in 1–2 days. Very large or 2-story enclosures can take a bit longer. We give you the schedule before we start.
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as we can get into the enclosure and pets are secured, you don’t need to be there. We’ll send photos when we finish.
Which screen should I choose?
Standard charcoal 18×14 works for most homes. Choose No-See-Um if tiny biting insects are a problem, TuffScreen or PetScreen for pets and busy areas, and Florida Glass or privacy screen on the lower walls for privacy. Compare screen types. See the full comparison.
Is door hardware really free?
Yes. With a full pool cage rescreen we replace the screen door closer, latch and handle at no extra charge.
Should I repair a few panels or rescreen everything?
If only a few panels are torn and the rest still look good, a panel repair is cheaper (from $50 per panel, $160 minimum). If the screen is faded, brittle or damaged in many places, a full rescreen is the better value. Panel and frame repair. More in repair or full rescreen: how to decide.
Do you require a deposit?
Only for projects over $3,500. For smaller jobs you pay when the work is done.
