People use these words for the same thing all the time. Here’s how we tell them apart — and the good news: we work on all three.
A freestanding aluminum frame over the pool and deck, with screen on the walls and the roof. Often 1 or 2 stories tall.
A covered porch under the house roof (or its own solid roof). Only the walls are screened, the roof is solid.
A screened area built on a patio slab or pavers, with a screen roof or a solid insulated roof.

I had “Pet Screen” put in for my entire lanai to keep out mice and squirrels — it looks phenomenal! It’s absolutely worth spending a little more money for the durability.
Great Job, our Lanai is like new again. Job finished on time and kept place very clean, thank you!
When our hurricane cable from our lanai broke off… Within two days, he was at our doorstep and was able to repair it for a very reasonable price.

In Florida, a lanai is a covered porch or patio under the house roof (or its own solid roof) with screened walls. A pool cage has a screen roof over the pool; a lanai has a solid roof.
Bottom panels start at $50 and side panels at $65, with a $160 minimum visit. A full lanai rescreen is $1.50 per square foot of screened area.
